A common error when setting up a personalized voicemail from a deskphone is recording your Introductory Greeting message with a Voicemail message. The Introductory Greeting is a message that plays out in full before ringing the deskphone.
To update/remove your Introductory Greeting message, please follow these steps from a deskphone:
- Push Voice Mail button
- Type in your Voice mail PIN
- Press 2 (Administrative options)
- Press 1 (Introductory greeting)
- Follow the prompts to remove your introductory greeting
If you need to update your voice mail message in the future, please follow these step from a deskphone:
- Push Voice Mail button
- Type in your Voice mail PIN
- Press 2 (Administrative options)
- Press 2 (Voice prompts) (1 is the introductory greeting)
- Press 2 (Voice Mail prompt)
